If you're a bride-to-be looking for something enchanting in the venue stakes, Milsom Weddings offers two romantic locations, Le Talbooth and Maison Talbooth that will both put an end to your search...
With both of Milsom Weddings' quintessentially English venues (Le Talbooth and Maison Talbooth) situated in the heart of Constable Country, East Anglia, no bride-to-be will be able to resist their manicured lawns, luxurious surroundings and out-of-this-world food.
In fact, Wedding's very own Deputy Web Editor held her reception at one of them! Here's her top 5 reasons why you should get married with Milsoms...
#1 The setting
If you think about it, the scenery and setting for your big day is beyond important, as every single photograph taken will be inclusive of it. The day my now-husband and I walked around Le Talbooth, Dedham; across the manicured gardens down to the River Stour and around the three wedding venue choices on site (choose from the Weavers Room, the River Room or the Marquee), we knew it was our dream venue.
I instantly could picture my family and friends dancing into the night amongst the glinting fairy lights and beautifully trimmed garden...
#2 The logistics
The fact that Le Talbooth and Maison Talbooth are just mere minutes from each other, is beyond convienent for a wedding. Not only can you tie the knot in the Maison's luxurious surroundings, but with it's twelve magnificent rooms, it's perfect if you and your bridal party want to stay the night after partying away at Le Talbooth. And heads-up brides-to-be, with Maison Talbooth's in-house spa, it's the perfect place to unwind and pamper yourself before the festivities begin.
#3 The food
My husband and I definitely count ourselves as foodies – we love eating out, and having experienced Milsom Weddings' menu before, we knew we could count on them to deliver out-of-this-world food for our guests. I will happily admit that during the main course, having finished off my own serving, I was hopefully eyeing up my Father's portion on the top table. And, when it comes to choice, the venue's wedding menu has an endless list; making sure there's something to suit all tastebuds...however picky!

#4 The service
With over 60 years' experience of wedding planning and dedicated chefs and front of house team, the service, I can assure you, was exceptional. No little thing was too small, and they're there with you (at the end of an email or a phone call away) during the planning process too. Our regular meetings with the events team meant that I felt happy and relaxed during the planning process, and didn't turn into anything resembling a Bridezilla (I hope).

#5 Their flexibility
Whether you're planning a big wedding (with up to 160 guests) or something smaller and more intimate (around 50 guests) the venues' array of rooms cater to your every need.
For the larger wedding, do as we did, and hire out their elegant Marquee (which can hold up to 160 guests!). Situated in the idyllic gardens, at the height of summer, it's fairy-tale-ish! For smaller affairs there's the Weavers Room and the River Room at Le Talbooth, as well as the Maison Talbooth's hotel and grounds which is ideal for up to 50 wedding guests too.
And, if you want exclusive use of the entire hotel – that includes it's 12 bedrooms, lounge, garden room, outdoor heated pool, hot tub, tennis court, pool house and landscaped gardens (phew!) that's available too!
