A stunning wedding at The Manor in Tockington, Bristol

A stunning wedding at The Manor in Tockington, Bristol

Katherine and Benjamin tied the knot in a classical celebration filled with musical twists

Katherine Bell, 26, a beauty therapist, and Benjamin John, 32, a bar manager, tied the knot in a civil ceremony at The Manor, Old Down Estate, Tockington, Bristol, where they also held their reception.

Budget: £20,000

We chose our venue as it was modern, yet maintained so much character. We had exclusive use of the private country house too, so we could entertain our guests all night long if we wanted!

Our theme was simple but elegant - greys and whites with a little pale pink within our wedding flowers. This colour scheme complemented the venue really well.

My dress was by Kenneth Wilson from A Class Brides in Bristol. It really suited my frame and gave me height (which I needed, being only 5ft 1in!) and I loved the lower back detailing too.

At the reception, we had Pimms and lemonade or prosecco, along with a selection of six different canapes, including mini beef burgers and miniature portions of fish and chips.

Both of us are very passionate about music, and it played a bit role in entertaining our guests. We had a saxophonist, who played alongside our first dance, a bongo player and a DJ.

I loved my day from the moment I woke up to when I collapsed into bed at 5am! Fortunately nothing went wrong and our day was just as we wanted it.

My tip for brides-to-be: Try not to stress over the little things that aren't important, and enjoy the whole planning process!

Steal their style...
