He gave his farewell speech in Chicago less than 24 hours ago - and now, photos have emerged of Barack Obama acting as an usher at the wedding of his personal aide, Marvin Nicholson.
Marvin - who is also White House trip director - married his long-time love Helen Pajcic in a celebration that was held in Jacksonville, Florida, over the weekend.
The previous night had seen Barack celebrate the end of his presidency at a star-studded bash held at the White House, which ended at 4am - just a few hours before he began the journey to Florida.
President Obama wasn't the only political figure invited to play a part in the wedding: Secretary of State John Kerry officiated the ceremony, which took place in front of a beautiful floral arch.
Photos obtained by News4JAX show Obama beaming alongside three other ushers, as well as five bridesmaids.
Speaking to the news site about Obama's involvement in the wedding, Helen's father, Steve Pajcic, commented: "[Obama] is really such a good person, a nice, good, real person, which we knew from the beginning, which is demonstrated by the fact that come hell or high water he was going to be at this wedding as a groomsman for his friend Marvin".
Steve explained Obama tried to keep out of the limelight at the couple's celebration, explaining: "He wanted to make sure he wasn't stealing the thunder from Helen and Marvin".
The newlyweds are believed to have foregone a honeymoon in order to allow Marvin to finalise the details of Barack's trip to Chicago, where he delivered yesterday's speech.
