3 things to remember before your wedding hair trial

Written by Katie Byrne, published 5th may

Essential reading if you're planning to book a professional to style your hair!

#1 Have an idea of the kind of style you want

Whether it's a bohemian braid, a chic updo or romantic curls, have a rough idea of the kind of 'do you'd love to wear on your wedding day. This will help your hair-stylist create a look that's true to you - and don't be afraid to say 'no' to any suggestions you don't like the look (or sound!) of.

#2 If possible, wear a neckline that is similar to that of your wedding dress

Certain styles of gown might not suit - or complement - particular hairstyles. For example, if you're wearing a gown with a stunning back and have long hair, you won't want to wear your hair loose. If you can't wear a matching neckline, bring along a picture of your dress so your hair-stylist can have an idea of what you'll be wearing on the big day.

The perfect hairstyle to match your wedding dress style

#3 If you're planning to wear an accessory in your hair, bring it along

That gorgeous tiara you've got your heart set on might not sit so prettily alongside the halo braid style you've fallen in love with! Avoid any last-minute Plan B scenarios by bringing along your accessories, whether big or small. If you're planning to wear fresh flowers, bring a photo of the floral arrangement you have in mind.
