The simplest way to handle spring showers at your wedding

The simplest way to handle spring showers at your wedding

Written by Katie Byrne

Planning an outdoorsy spring wedding? Make sure you read this...

So you've organised your dream spring wedding: the in-season flowers, pretty pastel details and seasonal favours are all in-hand, and you're calm and confident that everything is sorted ahead of the big day.

However, there's one detail that can make a big difference to your celebration: the rain.

You can't control the weather but you can control how it affects you and your guests. So, if your wedding day has an outdoors element to it, make sure you stock up on umbrellas beforehand.

Real couple Sara and Shiv married in an outdoors celebration, and used a box of parasols to help protect their guests from the searing Californian sunshine. Follow their lead with umbrellas (or parasols - or both!) by creating cute, personalised tags for each umbrella and leaving them by the garden entrance for guests to grab as needed.

Come rain or shine, your wedding guests will thank you!
