This boutique haven in South Kensington makes for a chic city stay...
With its Victorian white stucco terrace front, located on a quiet residential street in South Kensington, you could be forgiven for walking past Number Sixteen without even realising it’s a hotel. But behind the unassuming exterior is a boutique haven boasting Kit Kemp décor, sumptuous furnishings and a home-from-home, atmosphere.
The hotel doesn't have a spa (although treatments can be enjoyed in-room) but with so much going on in the surrounding area, it quite simply doesn’t need it. What it does have is a library and quirky drawing room overlooking the street, where guests can take afternoon tea, cosy up with the papers or enjoy a gin or three thanks to the ‘honesty’ bar.
But the jewel in Number Sixteen’s crown is the light-filled conservatory and courtyard, where breakfast is served. Enjoy your full English and pastries alfresco amongst the over-hanging trees and water feature.
You won't find a better oasis in the city.
