A is for... Algarve
With a rugged coastline and miles of picturesque beaches, the Algarve is known for its natural beauty. Cabo de São Vicente is the most southwestern point in Europe and a spectacular place for a sunset, while boat trips around the caves, with potential dolphin sightings are also popular.
There’s much to be found inland as well, as the region is notable for wine and golf. Vila Vita Parc in Alporchinhos offers some of the best, with wine tastings in its underground cellar and an 18-hole driving range.
