Samantha and Tyler celebrated their fairytale day in a secret garden location...
Samantha, 27, a make-up artist, and Tyler, 27, a production facilitator, married at Belle Victorian Gardens, Washington.
It was important for us to express our country roots, so we wanted to celebrate in a homely, yet stylish, kind of way. Our venue has always been a special place for me as I used to play dress-up in the bridal suite as a child and it only seemed right to celebrate our nuptials there.
We wanted our guests to feel like they had stepped into our fairytale, so we used pastel hues and scintillating accents of gold to create our vision of a magical secret garden.
I chose a fishtail gown with paisley lace detail – and as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. I also wore a sash which complemented the overall look. My bridesmaids wore pale peach, chiffon dresses with crystal embellishment detail on the shoulders.
To tie in with the country setting, I had them wear cowgirl boots, too, with bracelets made of pearls and burlap beads, which I made for them. Tyler wore a grey John Varvatos suit with a pink vest and tie, and Cole Hann shoes.
We exchanged vows under a vintage-style pergola adorned with floral garlands and fairy lights. A floral archway and heart-shaped wreaths created the aisle, and lanterns lined the pathway. For our dinner, we chose to have a buffet.
Our tables were covered in pink, handmade tulle cloths and decorated with ornate centrepieces of pink roses and greenery atop tall, silver candelabras draped in pearls. We had two cakes, one was carrot cake – which is Tyler's favourite – and the other was a champagne-flavoured sponge finished with soft pink buttercream icing.
My favourite moment...
Seeing Tyler for the first time was very emotional; he cried when he looked at me, and in that moment no one else existed but us.
Steal their style!
