Bride-to-be Kiki Deere has gone paperless for her destination wedding...
With only a few months to go until the Big Day, we have decided to go with paperless Save the Dates to buy ourselves time to choose and write-up our invites.
We found a great selection of Save the Dates via Paperless Post. With over twenty pages to browse through, there was plenty of choice.
We looked for a layout and colour scheme of card that would match our venue, the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo in Sicily.
We went for a smart cursive script that would reflect the hotel’s elegance, complemented by a sandy yellow background.
We also found matching invites, embellished with a little shell - a nice touch, we thought, that would remind our guests of our venue’s proximity to the Mediterranean Sea.
We made sure to inform our guests that the wedding celebrations would last two days. As they are flying out to Sicily especially, we thought a post-wedding Sicilian buffet lunch at Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea would be a nice touch, and the perfect way to wind down the festivities.
With its own private stretch of beach, the hotel has a gorgeous panoramic terrace overlooking the Bay of Mazzarò, the ideal spot to enjoy a buffet of Sicilian specialities – what better way to end the wedding festivities than with a full belly?
Next on the to-do list: creating a wedding website with plenty of info on the local area!
