Everything you need to consider about your wedding confetti

Everything you need to consider about your wedding confetti

Written by Katie Byrne

Beki from Confetti Cones answers your pretty-petals questions...

How much confetti should I order?

We usually say to provide for half of your guests as its mostly women and children that love to throw the confetti although anywhere between three and four litres is plenty of petals to create a fab confetti moment photo you will keep forever. One litre of petals will fill around 10 of our personalised cones so for example - so if you want to fill 40 cones, you'll need four litres.

Why do I need to ask my venue if they allow confetti?

Not all venues allow confetti but most are slowly coming round to the idea just as long as it is biodegradable - which all of ours are - and will blow away over the next day or so.

Will confetti make guests who suffer with hayfever sneeze?

Confetti is typically safe for people who have hayfever, as it no longer contains pollen. However, if you're not sure, check with your provider.

How soon before my wedding should I order my confetti?

We usually suggest around four-to-six weeks before the big day. Our delphinium confetti has a great shelf life of around 12-18 months but our roses and hydrangeas are at their best around six weeks before.

What are the most popular confetti combinations?

We have many bestsellers but we find our Mr & Mrs and Love Bird personalised confetti cones are always very popular along with our spring meadow and pink champagne confetti mixes. Our personalised cones start from £2.50 for five and our petals start from £5.60 for half a litre.
