A few pre-wedding nerves are natural - but we imagine for this couple, their marital fears were rather higher than most...
Ross Basham and Hannah Phillips tied the knot in a humanist service on Highland Fling Bungee's platform at Garry Bridge, near Killiecrankie in Perthshire.
Straight after exchanging their 'I do's, the couple celebrated their love by jumping 130ft off the platform - joined by the same bungee cord!
The first celebration of its sort to be held in Scotland, the wedding was witnessed by the company's jump crew, who were on-hand to see the couple safely through their post-vow leap of faith.
Ross and Hannah decided not to let their 150 guests know about their Scottish wedding plans, with real bride Hannah revealing: “I wanted a wedding that was legal but also fun and I didn’t want just to do the registry office type of thing. Highland Fling Bungee were the only company I could find in Britain who would do it and we had always wanted to go to Scotland, so we just decided to go for it."
The adventurous couple got engaged when Ross popped the question at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Having already held a wedding party with their family and friends, Hannah and Ross decided they wanted to legally marry in a more intimate celebration, with Ross explaining: “We had the family celebration, which was truly wonderful and the best day of our lives, but we wanted to do the legal side on our own and we wanted something fun, somewhere scenic and picturesque... It was absolutely fantastic and really special for both of us.”
