The to-do list every maid needs for her BFF's big day...
#1 Charge your phone
Imagine if you need to contact the venue/check your make-up mid-reception/take a selfie with the hot best man - only to discover you've got no battery? #Drama - put that charger in your bag!
Even if you're not normally a 'breakfast person', force yourself to have some toast. It's going to be a long day - and we're guessing you don't want to end up like this bridesmaid.
#3 Go to the bathroom
Make the most of having easy-access facilities before you leave for the venue: use the toilet, powder your nose and check that everything - we're looking at you, tricky zip or irritating hair accessory that just won't stay in place - is looking good.
#4 Check you have tissues, painkillers and plasters
Plus, waterproof make-up and a small clutch-sized snack. Ideally, have a bag that can also hold a few bits for the bride as well, should she want you to.
#5 Have a drink
Have as much water as you can - this will help you hydrated throughout the day ahead, as well as help. If you're feeling a bit edgy, or over-excited, try a cup of herbal tea; and if all else fails, vodka.
#6 Calm the bride's nerves
Chances are she'll be feeling terrified/nauseous/faint/a combination of them all - so reassure her by helping her focus on her breathing and telling her what a wonderful day she's about to have.
#7 No seriously - go to the bathroom
We're not doubting your bladder strength but...
#8 Check you have everything you need
Phone charger. Painkillers. Emergency plasters. Mascara. A snack. And these, too!
