Long days at work can leave you both feeling exhausted by the time the evening rolls round - so here's how to make the most of your precious 'us' time!
#1 Cook together
The couple who cooks together... Well, there isn't really a saying attached to this but you get what we're saying! Whether you're cooking tonight's dinner, tomorrow's lunch or a super-delicious cake (#justbecause), rustling up a storm in the kitchen is a great bonding activity. Aside from the satisfaction of creating something from scratch, you also get to share all of those fun moments that are always shown on TV. If one of you doesn't end up with flour on their nose, we'll be disappointed.
#2 Get obsessed with a new TV show
Switch on Netflix, cuddle up on the sofa and immerse yourselves in a new series. Aim for something you both can't stop thinking about - the perfect new show is out there for you somewhere!
#3 Get DIY-ing
We're not saying re-paint the living room, but indulging in a little art'n'craft - whether it be creating cute prints for the bathroom, upcycling an old piece of furniture or rearranging your clothes (because organising your combined wardrobes is fun) - will be fun, bonding and oh-so satisfying.
#4 Turn your bathroom into a spa
Grab a bottle of wine and your favourite pamper products - you two are about to enjoy some serious relaxation! Think face masks, massages and long, bubbly soaks in the bath. Bliss...
#5 Go star-spotting
It sounds cheesy but it's crazy-relaxing - hop in the car, drive somewhere remote and look at the sky. It's a wonderful way to make any problems or dramas feel entirely insignificant. (Although we can't promise that blissed-out feeling will last once you've driven away...)
#6 Practice your first dance
Crank on your iTunes and make a playlist of first dance options. Turn your home into one big dancefloor and enjoy a whirl together!
