Liisa Luts decided to take matters into her own hands when it came to her wedding pictures...
Meet the bride who decided to take her own wedding photos.
Liisa Luts and Henno, her boyfriend of six years, decided they wanted a low-key celebration to mark their big day - and as part of this, photographer Liisa decided she wanted to take their wedding photos herself.
According to the happy couple, the decision to not hire a photographer for the wedding 'evolved quite naturally', with the couple tying the knot at a registry office in the Estonian capital of Tallinn on August 28, followed by a party with their guests at a nearby restaurant.
The pair's beautifully understated wedding photos have now gone viral, hitting headlines across the globe.
Speaking to HuffPost UK Lifestyle about the new-found fame of their wedding pictures, Liisa says: "It's kind of ironic because the first thing me and my husband agreed on was that we [didn't] want a big event or put on a show... And now I get letters from all over the world from people just congratulating me, from media, from other photographers... People think that it's a creative yet simple way to save memories from that day as a non-glamorous and genuine photo essay".
Liisa also added that some people have asked her if she and Henno are worried about not having any 'proper' pictures from their wedding day - and revealed that they're not.
She explained: "I have a secret - we also used around 10 minutes of spare time that day and took a few proper pictures of the two of us on with our professional camera on a tripod instead".
Amazing - what a story!
