Melissa Cote and Tom Cowern said 'I do' in the spook-tacular ceremony in New Hampshire
A couple have hit the headlines after tying the knot in a spook-tacular Halloween-themed celebration - complete with cobwebs, a skeleton and a lot of fake blood.
Scare-loving Melissa Cote and Tom Cowern - who both work at SpookyWorld presents Nightmare New England - held the terrifically terrifying ceremony at Brigham Manor.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen all wore black, whilst the bride and her maids all held ruby-red bouquets. Our favourite detail? The flower girl's skeleton costume - because duh.
Even Melissa's father got in on the act: he walked her down the aisle wearing a Beetlejuice costume.
The officiant, meanwhile, was also attired to match the theme of the day: he wore black robes, a solemn hat and caked himself in white facepaint and fake blood.
He reportedly encouraged the couple to 'haunt and howl at the moon together as long as you shall live', as well as 'to have and to hold from this night on, in madness and in haunting fun'.
All of the couple's 130 guests were invited to dress up for the occasion, and the evening reception took place in an illuminated marquee.
The couple's venue choice was of particular significance to their romance: it's where they first met, when Tom spooked Melissa. (All in the name of work, of course.) They met again a few months later, with Tom telling WMUR-TV: "She's like, 'You work there? Some guy scared me... I just started laughing. I said, 'Yeah, that was this guy.'"
Speaking to NewHampshire.com about their day, Melissa said: "This was the first place we thought of. My parents thought it was a cool idea".
