How our real-bride readers felt the day after they said 'I do'...
The question: how did you feel the day after your wedding?
I got about 4.5 hours sleep the night before the wedding, was up about 6am, didn't get to sleep on our wedding night until gone 1am and was awake again at about 6am. I felt knackered! Julie Wilkes
We had little sleep the night before and only one hour's sleep on the wedding night due to travelling to our honeymoon destination - so tired! I must admit I was totally and utterly overwhelmed with emotion. I kept bursting into tears not from sadness, but because of total over-emotion. Most of all, I couldn't believe I was actually married to my amazing man. I still find it hard to believe! Sammie Rose Freer
My second marriage to my soulmate we had an amazing wedding in Florida on Cocoa Beach with my daughter, her fiancé and our two best friends. We're still buzzing a year later. I woke up the next morning as a married woman, just so, so happy, and spent two weeks in Florida with the people who mean the most to me in the world. Jo Beaton
I had one hour of sleep the night before our wedding, and slept for about four hours on the wedding night! The day after, I was still buzzing and on a high. Adrenaline kept me going! We were also so overwhelmed. I didn't get a proper night's sleep until about three days after the wedding - during the flight to our honeymoon destination! Christina Carter
Thrilled to be my husband's wife! Overwhelmed with all the love and support we were shown by our closest friends and family. Spent the day opening cards and presents and looking at photos as they were posted online by our guests. Kelly Robertson
I felt amazing and was still buzzing from an amazing day. We went and met family in the pub and carried on the celebrations. Jenny Jones-Key
I felt amazing! Completely shattered, yet still so excited and overwhelmed by it all. We spent the morning after having breakfast with our family and close friends and I didn't want the weekend to end. Jo Graham
Absolutely shattered and with a ten-week-old baby girl it was hard work, but so worth it. Ciara Dover
