Bridal beauty trend: metallic eye tutorial

Bridal beauty trend: metallic eye tutorial

Written by Katie Byrne

Celebrity make-up artist Ciona Johnson-King tells you how to steal the style from the catwalks of top designers and make sure you’re the star of your very own show

As spotted at: Versace.

Think: a sultry smoky eye - but with a twist of 24 carat luxe!

Applying a pop of gold in the inner corners of your eyes creates a beautiful brightening effect. “The key to this dreamy wedding make-up is to avoid being too theatrical and blend the metallic gold with more muted tones,” advises Ciona.

Start by blending a gold shadow around the inner corners of the eyes and onto the eyelids. “Then take a deep matte shade such as warm chocolate brown and blend it on the outer corners, making sure you have a clean eyeshadow brush handy to blend the two colours together for a seamless finish.”

Top it off with lashings of a glossy black mascara - done!

How to finish: complete this gorgeous look with flawless skin, lashings of mascara and glossy nude lips.
