If you're getting married in 2016, you might want to consider this surprising new wedding dress trend

It's a million miles from the traditional white wedding dress...

There's a surprising new wedding dress trend that's making it way into the headlines at the moment: the camouflage wedding dress.

No, that doesn't mean gowns made from some kind of magical fabric that means you can earn some stealthy #bridalspy points on your wedding day - sob - but rather, it's wedding dresses featuring a splash of camouflage-style pattern.

Or in some cases, wedding dresses that are made entirely from silky khaki-print material.

No, really - it's a thing!

USE OUR DRESS FINDER TO SEARCH FOR YOUR DREAM WEDDING DRESS TODAY!

The trend is on the rise, in fact, with over 20,000 Google searches for 'camo wedding dresses' made each month (to put that in perspective: 'backless wedding dresses' gets just under 10k searches a month).

There are varying 'strains' of camo, from all-out green-patterned wedding gowns to twist-of-camo dresses. For the bride who doesn't want to commit to wear a camo-patterned gown, there are a range of accessories available - think a veil with a camo-print trim, or a bouquet of seasonal blooms in browns and greens.

Equally, your groom can wear a patterned tie, or your bridesmaids can wear camouflage shoes. The bridal world's your khaki oyster!
