Said Gutseriev and Khadija Uzhakhovs tied the knot in Moscow over the weekend - and their day was reportedly worth over $1billion
If you've ever wondered what a billion-dollar wedding looks like - because you're only human - then search no more. This breathtaking wedding of a Russian oligarch's son and his student love is the ultimate in OMG-how-is-it-even-possible-to-spend-that-much-on-a-wedding-style.
Said Gutseriev, 28, and Khadija Uzhakohvs, 20, tied the knot in Moscow over the weekend (26 March 2016), in a lavish celebration rumoured to have cost close to a billion dollars.
Stunning bride Khadija walked down the aisle in a haute couture gown designed by Elie Saab, which was flown in from Paris and weighed a jaw-dropping 25lbs owing to the extent of the heavy embellishment (so naturally, Khadija needed the help of several people to get up and down stairs).
The couple's luxurious venue, Safisa, was adorned with thousands and thousands of flowers, with blooms decorating walls, hanging from ceilings and creatively displayed on tables and chairs.
Six hundred guests - ferried in by a fleet of glistening Rolls Royces - joined the newlyweds for the celebration, which saw performances from Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias lit-up the reception, whilst French superstar Patricia Kaas sang as the couple exchanged their vows. Sting was there too! Naturally.
Oh, and did we mention the cake? Naturally, to feed that many guests it needed to be spectacular - multiple tiers and standing at over six-feet tall, the breathtaking bake was just as show-stopping as the rest of the celebration.
Our one big question: what sort of honeymoon follows a wedding that lavish?
