Interflora’s lead designer and Head of Product Development, Karen Barnes, advises on your wedding flower questions - and this week, we're focussing on budget
I’m still saving for my wedding – how much should I budget for the flowers?
Your budget will always depend on what you are looking for, influenced by design, style and overall impact. To ensure you allow enough to turn your dreams into reality, you could gather all your ideas and take them to a florist to get an idea of how much you need to set aside.
Whatever your budget, though, your florist will be able to make it work will create something perfect for your big day.
How do I make an impact with my wedding flowers on a budget?
There are lots of ways your florist can maximise the budget you have available for flowers. By agreeing the theme, colours and style but letting your florist find the best available stems at the best prices you will definitely get the most for your money.
There are also ways to use sundries and foliage to minimise actual flower content but not compromise on overall impact. Another top tip is to move the arrangements from the church or ceremony room to the reception rather than creating new ones, which your florist should be able to do on the day.
