Wedding DIY: how to make a pretty floral place setting

Wedding DIY: how to make a pretty floral place setting

Written by Katie Byrne

Steph from Fairy Nuff Flowers shows how you can make this gorgeous design for your reception tables...

You'll need: Willow, populus, waxflower, limonium, thin wire and a pair of scissors.

#1 Cut the bottom of the willow.

#2 Bend the willow to create a circle and secure with wire.

#3 Cut the populus, waxflower and limonium so that they are short in length.

#4 Decide where you would like additional flowers and foliage around the willow ring. Begin to start wiring your chosen blooms onto the place setting. To achieve the look pictured, only wire the flowers onto one half of the circle.

#5 Trim off any excess wire or stems to keep the design neat.

Tip: If you want your place settings to last longer than a couple of days, opt for flowers which do well when out of water or use dried lavender.
