I can't afford the peonies I want for my wedding bouquet. Help!

I can't afford the peonies I want for my wedding bouquet. Help!

Written by Katie Byrne

Karen Barnes of Interflora answers this reader's floral predicament...

The question: I have my heart set on peonies but they're out of my budget. Help! Which flowers can I go for instead?

The answer: Peonies create a wonderful summery feel to your wedding flowers, and of course offer a beautiful scent too. If your budget doesn't quite stretch to peonies, or, as is quite often the case, they are out of season, there are other ways you can achieve the look.

There are many different rose varieties that have a similar look to a peony, including a variety called Piano, which is available in several different shades, and also as a spray rose. Many garden roses, such as some David Austin varieties, can also look very similar, and have the benefit of the beautiful scent, too.

The Interflora wedding bouquets and arrangements pictured are designed to order to showcase the creativity of Interflora’s expert wedding florists and to provide ideas and inspiration for brides-to-be.
