2017 brides! Here's how to turn four days of annual leave into an eight-day honeymoon

No, really! Being savvy with this year's Bank holidays could pay dividends...

Turn the Easter bank holidays into the perfect window for your honeymoon - and without eating into too much of your annual leave.

Here's how...

- 14 April (Good Friday)

- 15-16 April (weekend in between)

- 17 April (Easter Monday)

Book off: 18-21st April.

Total time off: eight days.

How to max the May bank holidays to your advantage...

- 29-30 April (weekend)
- 1 May (Early May bank holiday)

Book off: 2-5 May.

Total time off: 9 days (including weekend of 6-7 May)

And finally...

FYI: other UK bank holidays in 2017 include 29 May (Spring bank holiday) and 28 August (summer bank holiday). Both fall on a Monday, meaning that adding a couple of days either side will give you a cheaper mid-week opportunity to get away.

Happy travels!
