No - you're reading that sentence correctly...
Unless you've been living under a rock, you will have heard of Pokemon GO. In fact, you're probably taking a break from catching Rattatas and Pidgeys at this very moment. #SorryNotSorry
Harmless fun, yes - but for this couple, the hugely popular game actually resulted in a rather awkward wedding day experience.
Elizabeth Corps and Joe Whiddett arrived at Woodlands Park Hotel on Thursday - their wedding day - to find that the venue had been flagged up on the game as a Pokemon GO gym.
The result? Crowds of Pokemon hunters swarming to the venue, in their bid to catch 'em all. Hilarious images captured by photographer (and Pokemon fan) Paul Brown and shared on Facebook included a Venonat posing next to the bride, a Pidgey hovering by the wedding cake and a Zubat hanging around by the top of the aisle.
Speaking to the press about the Pokeballs that were being thrown alongside the confetti, bride Elizabeth said: "All of our guests who play were all trying to take [the venue] over and battling each other. As soon as our car pulled up to the reception my brother informed my husband that there were two Bulbasaurs in the car park. A lot of Pokemon talk happened at the wedding and I was worried it would steal our thunder but actually it was pretty fun getting photobombed by the odd Pokemon".
She continued: "It was hard keeping my new husband off Pokemon Go and I don't know if he's caught them all yet but he's definitely caught me".
The UK edition of the game launched on Thursday.
