The remake of Beauty And The Beast is coming out this spring (be still, our inner Disney princess...) - but for one lucky woman, she got to live the magic of the movie for herself when her boyfriend proposed.
And mark our words: this was no standard proposal.
The romantic groom - who shared his story on Imgur under the username jel2930 - decided to create a little piece of Disney-inspired magic for his partner, Cara, who he describes as 'my best friend and partner in crime'.
In the post, he revealed: "She grew up admiring Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Wanting to recreate the famous scene, I decided to make her the dress to coincide with my proposal".
Yes. This man literally learnt how to sew in order to give his girl the proposal of her wildest dreams.
"This is how the project began, in a basement with a cheap sewing machine and a dream. And coffee. Lots of coffee," he captioned a series of photos which showed the creation of the dress, made from a buttercup yellow satin that Belle would be proud of.
He also shared a shot of the engagement ring he planned to propose with, captioned: "Oh right, the ring. Don't forget the ring. Lesson learned? Shiny rocks are expensive!"
So true, so true.
If you think that's where it ends, think again: the groom then whipped his girl - wearing her beautiful couture gown - to the kind of library we just know Belle would adore, to propose.
Naturally, Cara accepted, burst into tears and, to top things off, performed a rather beautiful twirl in her fairytale-worthy frock.
See all the photos here.
The bashful groom-to-be signed off his post: "Wait... does this make me the beast? Ah well".
So if this is the proposal, we can't wait to see what the pair will plan for their wedding...
