When it comes to wedding dress necklines, brides are spoilt for choice - there are endless options.
Okay, maybe not endless. But no less: a lot.
Whether you opt for strapless, V-neck, halterneck, asymmetric, Queen Anne, sweetheart... There are so many different styles of wedding gown - and that's not even factoring in the different cuts and skirts that are available, too.
But back to the neck line. According to data analysts at Pinterest, there's one very clear style that's capturing the hearts of brides at the moment. And the winner is...
The off-the-shoulder wedding dress!
According to the moodboarding website, off-the-shoulder gowns have seen a 158% rise compared to this time last year - meaning if you have a wedding dress board on the go, you'll more likely than not have pinned a couple of off-the-shoulder looks yourself.
And the A-list love the off-the-shoulder gown too, with newlywed brides Samira Wiley and Louise Roe just two of the famous names choosing to wear the look on their big days.

So why, exactly, has this pretty style soared to the top of the most desirable bridal styles? Here's what we think...
#1 Off-the-shoulder is the perfect mix of timeless elegance and modern cool.
Romantic, flirty, sophisticated... The off-the-shoulder gown is the perfect in-between for for brides who can't decide whethey they want a strapless gown or one with straps/shoulders. There's a whole spectrum of style choices, from demure, scallop-cut lace to blousy and bohemian.
#2 They're basically universally flattering
Like, seriously. Whether you're short or tall, slim or curvy, there's a way to make this gorgeous style work for you. Also, off-the-shoulder gives you opportunity to get creative with accessorizing, whether it's with statement earrings (also on trend this year), a gorgeous necklace or perhaps even some v.cool body gems.
#3 You can go matchy-matchy with your bridesmaids
Off-the-shoulder frocks have long been popular for bridesmaids - especially for vintage, retro-inspired weddings. Go for a #squadgoals style by asking your girls to wear off-the-shoulder gowns - for extra pretty, pastels will look particularly lovely alongside your bridal gown!
