Cameron Diaz has spoken about her marriage - and how she knew the time was right for her to finally say 'I do'.
The actress tied the knot with husband, rockstar Benji Madden, back in January 2015.
Having been in several long-term relationships before she met Madden, Diaz has now explained why, exactly, she'd never married before she met her One.
During an appearance at a Goop-sponsored panel held over the weekend, Diaz was asked why she'd waited before she'd said 'I do', admitting: "I think it's a matter of I just hadn't met my husband!"
She continued: "I had boyfriends before, and there's a really, really distinct difference between husbands and boyfriends".
Diaz also touched on the story of how she and Joel first met, during a dinner party she hosted at home. Guest Nicole Richie brought along her husband, Benji's twin, Joel, who asked if Benji could come too.
The rest is history: the pair went on to fall in love, get engaged and tied the knot in an intimate celebration held at home in January 2015. At the reception, Cameron took to the stage to deliver a speech about her beau, telling the assembled guests: "I waited because I didn't want to settle. Now I got the best man ever. My special man. He's mine".
"The first thing I said when I first met my husband was, 'He's hot'," she admitted during the panel appearance. "Then I saw him again. Wait a second, still hot!"
"He's just my partner in life, in everything," Cameron continued during the panel appearance over the weekend. "I've never had anyone who supported me so much and gave me so much courage to be myself and to really explore myself. My husband has been able to show me what it's like to be an equal. And I've learned so much from him. I look at him every day and he inspires me. I feel so lucky".
