(And no - they weren't bridesmaids)
Something rather incredible happened in Sydney on Saturday: six women attended the same wedding, all wearing exactly the same dress.
As in: exactly the same dress.
Speaking to the Telegraph about the incredible situation, Debbie Speranza (one of the women wearing the dress, who shared this photo, left, on Facebook) revealed: "My cousin and I walked into the reception and saw each other [in the same dress] and started laughing, but then another walked in … then another one … and another one. There was about 200 people".
That means a solid 3% of the total guest-list were wearing that same frock: a gorgeous lacy navy halterneck design from Australian fashion brand, Forever New.
After some initial confusion, the identically-attired sextet saw the funny side of their sartorial situation, posing for group photos and laughing off speculation they might be bridesmaids.
In fact, Debbie described herself and the other ladies as the 'back-up bridesmaids' in a Facebook post, which has since been 'liked' over 49,000 times and received over 11k comments.
She added to the Telegraph: "A couple of the women were a little bit 'ahhhhh' but then we all saw the fun in it. There’s a video of us telling the bridesmaids ‘ok if you girls stuff up we are ready’. We were like accidental sisters".
