(Spoiler alert: they aren’t expensive...)
Decorate the wedding chairs
Do something special to the chairs you and your partner will sit on at the reception. Not sure what to do? Take a look here for some ideas.
There’s something about the flicker of candlelight that’s just so magical. Make sure your celebration is all of a’flicker by using tealights and pillar candles to create safe displays that will add warmth and depth to your reception.
Hire a speciality food/drink station
A candyfloss cart, a donut wall, a customise-your-own-cocktail station...
Incorporate a subtle theme
We’re talking spray-painted pineapples, leaf place-settings complete with handwritten names, vibrant tablecentres… There’s something about the tropical theme (when done the right way, of course) that adds an instant splash of ‘wow’ to any celebration.
Serve up mid-evening snacks
There’s nothing worse than feeling hungry at a wedding reception - especially if there’s no food in sight. Serve up a snack table of comforting, delicious food that your guests will devour. Just make sure you manage to get some, too!
Have a last dance
You had your first dance, sure; so why not have a last dance to round-off the night in sophisticated style? Ask your DJ to call your remaining guests to the floor and have a final twirl to your favourite song. A sophisticated way to round off any celebration!
