Jennifer Lawrence is the epitome of all-American style with her fierce feline eyes and cashmere skin. Make-up artist Kate Hughes reveals how to work the look...
Brown smoky eyes
Rich brown hues are a softer alternative to black, simply layer up one shade to get a velvety finish. Either blend from the lash line up to the crease, or apply only in the crease for a softer effect.
For a more defined look, sweep an intense dark-brown eyeshadow across the lash line with a small brush, blending into the socket. Finish with dark brown mascara and Jennifer’s signature nude lip.
Blend black eyeshadow over the eyelid, into the socket and upwards at the corner of the eye. Take a jet-black kohl pencil and line the bottom rim of the eye, squeezing the eye shut to transfer some of the liner to the underside of the top lash.
Add liquid liner to the upper lash line, and slightly outwards for a feline shape. Continue to layer using the liquid until you get the desired intensity. Curl the lashes and apply mascara.
Smooth primer across the skin and evenly apply a BB cream down the central points of your face, blending outwards. Dot concealer under the eyes and on blemishes, and gently blend.
Sweep bronzer across the underside of the cheekbones and find a rosypink powder blush and brush it across your cheekbones. Finish with a dusting of translucent powder, but not too much – this look is about letting your real skin shine through.
